People don’t trust them, and don’t like the heavy-handed approach that many platforms have. In it, he says that current content moderation models aren’t working. I have a lot of thoughts about social media moderation (obviously!) and find myself nodding in agreement with a few things in this post from Hamish McKenzie (co-founder of Substack) and also going “Noooooo, you’re missing so much!”. I don’t “do” Twitter and never really have, but I know that’s a great way to find news too.
